Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash the green beans thoroughly, trim the ends, and pat them completely dry.
- Place the green beans in a large mixing bowl. Add the melted butter or olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and paprika if using.
- Toss the green beans thoroughly until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the seasoned green beans in a single layer.
- Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the green beans are tender but still slightly firm.
- Remove the baking tray from the oven and evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the green beans.
- Return the tray to the oven and bake for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and beginning to bubble.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Paprika is optional but adds extra depth of flavor.
Pat the green beans completely dry after washing. Removing excess moisture helps them roast instead of steam and gives them a better crisp-tender texture.
Serve immediately for the best texture while the cheese is still warm and melted.
