Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups shredded chicken
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup with herbs or plain cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • black pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces frozen mixed vegetables such as green beans, peas, corn, and carrots
  • 1 1/2-2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • tater tots enough to cover the top in a single layer

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, all-purpose seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and frozen mixed vegetables.
  3. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Spread the chicken and vegetable filling evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle 1 1/2 to 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the filling.
  6. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the cheese, covering the surface of the casserole.
  7. Bake at 375°F for about 50 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the tater tots are crisp and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Cream of chicken with herbs or plain cream of chicken soup can be used.
Use 1 1/2 to 2 cups shredded cheddar depending on how cheesy you want the casserole.
The mixed vegetables can include green beans, peas, corn, and carrots.
Bake until the tater tots are crisp and golden brown.
