Servings: 8 ghosts
Course: Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1-2 packages crescent rolls
  • grass-fed hot dogs cut in half or thirds depending on ghost size

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Drinking straw
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. Preheat the oven according to the crescent roll package directions.
  2. Unroll the dough, keeping every two crescent triangles attached to form a rectangle. Gently press the seam together, then cut each rectangle in half to make two smaller pieces of dough. If needed, gently roll each piece out with a rolling pin to stretch the dough.
  3. Cut the hot dogs in half or thirds, depending on the size you want your ghosts.
  4. Bring the dough up and around the hot dog, pinching it together at the top and leaving the bottom spread out to create the ghost shape.
  5. Use the end of a straw to cut out two eyes and a mouth, letting the hot dog peek through.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake according to package directions, until lightly golden.
  7. Let cool slightly and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cut the hot dogs in half or thirds depending on the desired size of the ghosts.
  • Shape the dough around the hot dog with the bottom spread out to create the ghost shape.
  • Use the end of a straw to make the eyes and mouth.
