Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade
  • 2 large chicken breasts cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3-4 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chili crisp oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
Vegetables
  • 1/2 white onion sliced
  • 12 oz broccoli frozen or fresh

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Meat Thermometer

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, chili crisp oil, and minced garlic.
  2. Add the cubed chicken and toss until every piece is evenly coated in the marinade.
  3. Cover and refrigerate the chicken for a few hours to allow the flavors to develop.
  4. When ready to cook, add the marinated chicken, sliced onion, and broccoli to the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (204°C) for 10 to 15 minutes, shaking or tossing the ingredients halfway through so everything cooks evenly.
  6. Check that the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and sticky. Serve over rice if desired.

Notes

Chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts and will stay especially juicy.
Marinating the chicken for a few hours gives it more flavor.
Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer and the size of the chicken pieces.
The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Serve over rice to soak up the sticky hot honey sauce.
